Gladiator - dead or alive!
27.10.2011
MOVE.ON Youth Symphony Concert I
The theme of our afternoon concert is Fate, Inevitable Fate. What classical piece is better suited to show our destiny than Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony. One of the highlights of this concert is the dramatic first movement. The orchestra performs under the baton of Maestro Ingo Ingensand, and Mr. Albert Landertinger provides the engaging narrative, as this masterpiece is presented to the young audience in the completely sold out Brucknerhaus. Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony is aptly paired with other analogous works about night or day, and comedy or tragedy. Of course, the music is accompanied by the obligatory soundtrack – in this case from the movie Gladiator - Life or Death! As if that were not fate enough!
